A dog two houses down barks to let another dog know that it still has a neighbor. A bird chirps because that’s just what birds do when the opportunity presents itself and the sun fights through the clouds, through the window and into your eyelids. Then there is that moment right when you wake up and the tone for the day is set. Have you ever woke up and the first word you utter is, “fuuckkk”? Sucks doesn’t it? Might be time for a change. I want to wake up everyday and punch the world in its frowned up face because more than 50% of us are stagnant. You will continue to work your 9 to 5, deal with a shit head boss who tells crappy jokes and be a cog in the wheels that drive society, into a gutter of filth. Deep down you know this isn’t where it ends, but…..you’re stuck. How do you un-stick? Besides what you’re about to read below, remember the first step is convincing yourself that you need a change. Being content is the friend of failure.
Being Positive
The first word you say in the morning has to be positive. Wake up and say, “yay!” Smile, grin and then kick negativity in the back of the balls. That’s how you start a day. The tone you set when you first wake up will most likely be the vibe of the day. Negativity is a plague that follows you and a positive attitude is the cure. Thinking negative thoughts attracts negative events.
Setting Goals
Remind yourself of your goals everyday, regardless of how small they may seem. The tiniest goals may be the most rewarding and will be the gateway into the larger ones. Write them down on a board and read them before you leave every morning. Breaking them down into smaller more achievable goals help a lot as well.
Reward Yourself
If you actually achieve something that you’ve set out to do, get yourself something special. I’m not talking about getting up several days in row for work on time. That is something you should do in order to pay your bills and keep a roof over your head. Achieve a significant goal like, finally putting that idea to purpose and making some extra money on the side. Get a beer,massage and a lap dance. You will thank yourself later.
Remember positivity is the key. Get a smile and keep a smile. Remember how important you are and how important your success is and how important your goals are.
