All Of My Time

Lately I’ve moved to another country and started using online dating apps again, as I was very unsuccessful with them in America. I’ve had a considerable amount of improvement in this department and get contacted constantly by available females. Now online dating is an entirely different animal by itself, but as long as you go for pure numbers you can generally see a positive result. However, I’m not here to chat about that today, my main focus is how to deal with females that demand a significant amount of attention and your time. It seems weird that a woman would meet you online and before even meeting you in person, she’s texting you every day, morning, noon, and night. This isn’t such a bad thing if you’re really into her and vice versa. The problem arises when she becomes buggy and it interferes with your life. By interfere I mean every five seconds your phone makes a ding sound or vibrates. The constant texting and you accepting them is a segway to a bigger problem. You are in the early stages of a relationship where you haven’t even had sex yet and she’s already being clingy. Imagine what will happen after you spend the night with her.

First things first you should try explaining to her that you have your own life just like she does and you can’t be accessible 24hrs a day. Sometimes at least when dealing with a reasonable person, this will subside the volume of text and make the exchange of communication not so one sided. I recently used this method with a female and she understood. Now, the communication between us is more even and she doesn’t bother me with trivial exchanges. Trivial exchanges are defined as:

9:00 am

Female: WYD?

Male: Just got to work.

Female: Oh, ok. Just wanted to see what you were up to.

9:10 am

Female: WYD?

Male: Still working.

Female: Oh, ok.

1:00 pm

Female: Off yet?

Male: Who goes in at 9 and gets off at 1:00 pm?

Female: I don’t know. LOL

3:00 pm

Female: Hey, call me:)

Male: Still at work.

Female: Why do you work so much?

Male: ?? That question makes no sense. It’s normal hours.

Female: OMG You don’t have to be so mean:(

I’m sure by now you get the point. Physical time and digital time…she wants it all. Don’t try to ignore the situation and act like it’s not happening. This is a problem and you need to deal with it ASAP. Your next option is to ignore her and only chat when you feel it’s necessary. This will set a tone for the relationship or whatever it develops into. However, you can’t start this in the middle after you’ve already started playing by her rules. It will be insanely hard to change the event that you’ve set in motion. Then you will have to deal with the above text dialogue on a daily basis. You’re third and final option is to cut all ties immediately upon finding out that she is a stage 5 clinger. This is best most of the time, especially if you realize she is untrainable as most women are. As you tread through the waters of dating online or otherwise, you have to be on the look out for these type of women.
