Life is full of worry. We worry about things that we don’t need to worry about. You can do whatever you want with your life. As long a you have food to eat, a place to live, freedom to roam and common sense. Let’s explore 3 simple things.

Food & Shelter

This is most important for survival. Do you have a secure place to rest your head at night and some decent food to eat? Do you have clean drinking water at your disposal? If the answer is yes, then you are at least accomplishing the first rule. There are many people out there who are less fortunate. Having food and having shelter is something that many of us take for granted on a daily basis. Be appreciative that you have a roof over your head and that you are not begging for food. This is something to be happy about. Now that we have that established, let’s go on to the next thing.

Jail / Prison

Stay away from these places at all cost. As long as you have food and shelter, don’t be stupid enough to do anything that might land you in jail or prison — nothing over the top. Everyone breaks the law from time to time. I bet you can’t name a family member or friend who hasn’t. Just don’t be one of the few to get caught. I’m not talking about a speeding ticket here. I’m talking about robbing a bank or trying to get away with murder etc. Just don’t do it. Your freedom should mean everything to you. Stay away from obsessive drinking and drug use as these are enablers.

Death

Death is the worst case scenario. As long as you have food and shelter and you’re not doing anything illegal, be smart and don’t do anything that might lead to an untimely death. For instance, don’t stand in front of a moving train and don’t jump off a bridge. Don’t commit suicide and don’t have sex with women without protection. We will never know when it’s our time to go. Death is not something you can plan for it just happens. More than 150,000 people die each day. That’s life.
